HUTCHINSON, Kan. — An 18-year-old man is jailed on several charges for allegedly attempting to break into an occupied home late Saturday night. Jacobsen Eells and a juvenile are accused of trying to enter the home in the 1100 block of East 8th.
There was apparently a woman and her two children in the home at the time of the incident.
Someone reported the break-in and the two teens took off when they saw police coming. Officers were able to stop 17-year-old Sebastion Sheahan after he was caught speeding on East 22nd late Saturday. When stopped, officers found drugs, paraphernalia, and alcohol in the vehicle. Eells was a passenger in that vehicle.
Potential charges against Eells include aggravated burglary, two counts of contributing to a child’s misconduct, possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and possession of alcohol for a person under the age of 21.
Eells is jailed on a $13,500 bond and was denied a bond reduction when he appeared in court Monday morning.
Sheahan could face similar charges in Juvenile Court.
