WICHITA, Kan. —Wichita State blanked UAB in the series finale, 5-0, behind Chloe Barber's complete game shutout Sunday morning at Wilkins Stadium.

Wichita State (21-19, 12-9) secured its third conference series win of the season after dropping its last three.
The day belonged to the freshman in the circle. Barber missed tying her single game school record for strikeouts by one, finishing with 15. She allowed just three hits to go with five walks.
CC Wong had another 2-for-2 day at the plate with a walk, double, home run, three RBI and two runs scored. Taylor Sedlacek also homered to go with two RBI. An Addison Barnard double and Mila Seaton pinch-hit single were the only other hits on the day for Wichita State.

A leadoff walk to open the bottom of the first paved the way for a Sedlacek two-run home run, providing Barber and the Shockers with early run support.

The Shockers doubled their lead in the second on Wong's two-run double in the right-center gap.

Wong would add the cherry on top in the fifth behind her 13th home run of the season.

Barber struck out the side in the second and sixth innings and recorded multiple strikeouts in all but one inning.

Wichita State opens a Texas road swing at Texas A&M Commerce on Wednesday, April 24 at 2 p.m. on ESPN+.
