WICHITA — Wichita State big man Kenny Pohto is entering the transfer portal, according to multiple reports.

This is actually the second time Pohto has entered the portal. He entered shortly after the end of last season as well, when Isaac Brown was dismissed as head coach. He withdrew his name from the portal and returned to the team after Paul Mills was introduced.

The 6-foot-11-inch forward appeared in 34 games this past season, starting 14. He averaged 8.8 points and 5.9 rebounds per game.

Pohto’s best game last season came in a loss to Norfolk State. He scored 25 points, brought in eight rebounds and dished out five assists in 36 minutes of action.

For his career, Pohto appeared in 93 games for the Shockers over the last three seasons.

It’s important to note that a return is not necessarily out of the question for Pohto. He can always withdraw his name and return to the program.
