KANSAS CITY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating another homicide in Kansas City.

Just after 10:30 pm April 12, officers were dispatched to a shooting in the 1800 block of Hardesty in Kansas City according to Police Captain Jake Becchins. Officers located a man later identified as  38-year-old Pablo Rodriguez inside a vehicle there, unresponsive.

EMS responded transported him to the hospital with life threatening injuries. Detectives and Crime Scene Investigators processed the scene for evidence and canvassed for witnesses that night.

Preliminary investigation indicates that the shooting took place at that location when the victim had an interaction with one or more suspects that escalated into shots being fired, and the victim being struck.

On Monday detectives were notified Rodriguez died from his injuries.
