MCCONNELL AIR FORCE BASE, Kan. â€“ Most aircraft assigned to McConnell Air Force Base have relocated away from the area Monday due to potential severe weather, according to a media release.

The aircraft, flown by the 22nd and 931st Air Refueling Wings, departed as a precaution against projected high winds and possibility of hail early Tuesday morning. The relocation protects the aircraft from potential damage, preserving McConnell’s ability to provide air refueling, airlift and aeromedical evacuation support around the globe.
