HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Hutchinson Community College men's basketball sophomore guard Kamryn Thomas signed his letter of intent to further his academic and athletic career at the University of Nebraska Omaha on Wednesday at the Sports Arena.

Thomas played one season at HutchCC and earned Third Team All-American honors by the NJCAA. The 6-foot-8 guard from Chicago, Illinois played in 33 games, starting 31 of those. He averaged 16.2 points, 6.1 rebounds and shot 43.1 percent from behind the arc. Thomas finished fifth in single-season 3-point field goal makes in program history with 78.

Nebraska Omaha is a NCAA Division I school in Omaha and is a member of the Summit League. The Mavericks finished 15-18 this past season and are coached by Chris Crutchfield, who just completed his second season.
