Nurse Scheduler, Full-Time
Responsibilities:
The Nurse Scheduler position is responsible for creating and overseeing the nursing schedule.
-Maintains nursing staff schedule consistent with staffing model
-Contacts staff to fill open spots as needed in a positive and fair manner
-Inputs and maintains schedule into Paycom
-Assists with PBJ report/reviews for accuracy
-Manages PTO requests based on guidelines provided by supervisor
-Creates an atmosphere of team-building while providing guidance as needed to nursing staff related to scheduling guidelines
-Works closely with nursing supervisors, Administrator, and DON to ensure appropriate staffing is planned for census and acuity
Qualifications:
-Must have full knowledge of computers and the ability to prepare reports
-Must be highly organized, detail-oriented, and have strong time-management skills
-Must be able to communicate effectively with a diverse group of people
-Must have the ability to work independently with little supervision
