SCKEDD seeking contractors for May 14 bid tour in Reno County towns

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The South‐Central Kansas Economic Development District (SCKEDD) in Bel Aire, KS administers the federally and local funded Housing Resurgence Program in Reno County. Interfaith Housing & Community Services, Inc. (Interfaith) in Hutchinson, KS administers the local funded Reno County Housing Impact Plan (RCHIP). SCKEDD, in partnership with Interfaith, provides assistance with the Reno County Housing Impact Program.

SCKEDD/Interfaith is seeking the following:

Contractor(s)

Licensed Electrician(s)

Licensed Plumber(s)

Window, Siding and Guttering Contractor(s)

Roof contractor(s)

General contractor(s)

HVAC Contractor(s)

Tree Removal

Contractor requirements include, but are not limited to:

Workman’s Comp and general liability insurance

A mandatory bidder’s tour will take place on May 14, 2024, beginning at 8:30 a.m. in Nickerson, Arlington and Turon.

Contractors are required to provide references with their bid packet as a high value will be placed on quality of work.

SCKEDD/Interfaith may choose any or all the following factors to evaluate contractor bids:

Price, quality of references, timeliness in completing work, quality of completed work, timeliness and quality in billing and any other factor as specified in the Bid Packet.

Bid tour will occur at 7 properties on May 14, 2024, addresses and scope of work will be provided upon bid packet request on May 6. Bids will be due and opened on May 28 no later than 5:00 p.m.

Bid awards will be submitted to recipients no later than the week of June 3.
