RILEY COUNTY—Law enforcement authorities are investigating a shooting in Manhattan.
Just before 12:30a.m. Tuesday, the Riley County Communications Center received a 911 call reporting a shooting in the 1400 block of Watson Place in Manhattan, according to a media release.
Riley County Police Officers responded to the scene and found a 20-year-old woman with a single gunshot wound to the abdomen.
The victim was transported via air ambulance to Stormont Vail Hospital in Topeka. Police released no additional details early Tuesday.
