UPDATE: Semi-Car Accident Kills Missouri Man, Injures One Other

KINGMAN – Two people were taken to a Wichita Hospital after a two vehicle accident along U-S Highway 54 in Kingman County.

Taken to Via-Cristi St. Francis Regional Medical Center was 31-year-old Justin Adams of Lee Summit, Missouri who was the driver of one of the vehicles. He later died at that hospital. A passenger in the second vehicle was also taken to St. Francis, that being 71-year-old James E. Meadows of Oronogo, Missouri.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, Adams was eastbound and failed to negotiate a curve and went into the westbound lane and struck a semi driven by Lynn D. Andrews of Larussell, Missouri, head-on. Larussell and two others in his semi were not injured.

The accident occurring around 3:40 p-m, Friday afternoon, 8-miles west of Kingman.
