Shooting Suspect Makes First Court Appearance
The suspect in the shooting of Hutchinson area man Wednesday evening made a first appearance Friday morning in Reno County District Court
Barbara Youngblood faces charges of attempted 1st degree murder, aggravated robbery, aggravated burglary and criminal threat. Her bond is currently set at 536,500.00 and Magistrate Judge Randy McEwen asked her if she had any comments regarding bond, and she stated “no, not at this time.”
Family members were in court and requested a bond reduction, but the judge told them to take it up with the court appointed lawyer assigned to the case.
She’ll be back in court next Wednesday, if not sooner, once the state files formal charges.
The victim, Kevin Tinin remains in stable condition at a Wichita hospital after he was shot in the leg.
He phoned 911 and told of being shot and after a search by various law enforcement officers and was located in a wooded area and flown to a Wichita hospital.
The suspect in the case was also sought during that same period of time and was eventually located near the Hutchinson Correctional Facility. She was taken to Hutchinson Regional Medical Center for treatment, then taken to the county jail.
