A 68-year-old Hutchinson man was injured slightly Sunday after a hunting accident in the county over the weekend.
At around 9:50 a-m, Reno County Deputies were dispatched to Hutchinson Regional Medical Center for the report of an accidental gun shot wound.
When they arrived they made contact with Larry Bean of Hutchinson had been turkey hunting southwest of Abbyville at about 8:30 a-m, that morning. when he picked up his 12-gage shotgun off the ground and started wiping debris from the barrel. The gun discharged while his right hand was in front of the barrel.
Bean was able to drive himself to the hospital where he was treated for his injury and released.
