WICHITA (AP) – A Wichita man will be sentenced in January after pleading guilty to involuntary manslaughter in a beating death after a dispute over ownership of a dog.
Nelson R. Glover pleaded guilty Monday in the death of 47-year-old John Tolliver in his home in July. Glover also will be sentenced Jan. 24 for robbery and aggravated battery.
Police say Glover and another man beat Tolliver because of dispute between Tolliver and his ex-girlfriend over possession of a dog.
The Wichita Eagle reports the second defendant in the case, Samuel J. Sims, also has pleaded guilty. He will be sentenced Jan. 16.
