TOPEKA (AP) – The Shawnee County coroner says a Missouri man’s death last year was a homicide.
Forty-one-year-old Michael P. Bailey of Nevada, Mo., died Oct. 19 after being hospitalized since July 13, when he was shot in southeast Topeka
The Topeka Capital-Journal reported Wednesday that Shawnee County coroner Dr. Don Pojman classified Bailey’s death as a homicide.
Two other men, 43-year-old Timothy L. Silver of Nevada, Mo., and 36-year-old Steven Spaugh of Topeka, also were shot when the three men got into an argument. Police say the men knew each other and the shootings are not related to other crimes.
Police continue to investigate the shootings and no charges have been filed.
