Kuhn-Krause in Hutchinson celebrated the completion of their 70 thousand square foot building expansion project today with a ribbon cutting Tuesday.
Officials with the company say the expansion will improve manufacturing capacity, efficiency and quality with new, state-of-the-art technology and use of lean manufacturing strategies. Once the move is complete the current plant will be used for assembly, research and development and other operations.
The total cost of this construction project, along with related new machinery procurement scheduled for this year is approximately $5.0 million.
Employees were treated to a BBQ during lunch prior to Tuesday afternoons ribbon cutting.
