The Hutchinson School Board received a preliminary enrollment report for 2012-13 Monday that showed the district with a modest increase of students.
In her Superintendent’s Report, Dr. Shelly Kiblinger reviewed the preliminary headcount numbers for the district. Overall, the district is up slightly over 2011-12. At the elementary level, the district was down slightly on Sept. 20 while at the secondary level the district was up modestly. The report is due to the Kansas State Department of Education on Oct. 10.
The board also renewed the district’s snow removal agreement with Miller Homebuilders. The company moves snow off the Sports Arena parking lots where Hutchinson High School students park.
They also heard a report on the USA/Kansas Association of School Boards Fall Education Summit from Board President Joe Fangman.
