A 50-year-old man from Albuquerque, New Mexico man was killed in an accident in Scott County of western Kansas Friday morning.
Killed was Roberto Acosta who was doing some geological work in that county. He was take to the Scott County Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, Acosta was traveling eastbound on ridgeline between a drop off on the right and drop off on the left. He then turned north at the top of the hill and for unknown reasons, lost traction and began rolling backwards. His vehicle, a 1993 Sismic Vibrator, “geological equipment,” went off south drop off then rolled approximately 300 feet before flipping end over end landing on its top.
The accident occurring around 10:20 a.m., Friday morning, 3.7 miles east of U-S 83 in a field.
