Blue Dragons Up One Spot In NJCAA Poll To No. 12
More movement this week for the Hutchinson Community College football team, this time in an upward director.
Following Saturday’s 49-12 Jayhawk Conference victory at Highland, the Blue Dragons move up one spot to No. 12 in this week’s NJCAA Football Poll.
The Blue Dragons (4-1 overall) won its third-straight game by racking up nearly 500 yards against the Scotties. The victory moved the Blue Dragons into a first-place tie with Butler.
That tie will be broken again this weekend as now-No. 2 Butler entertains No. 19 Garden City, while Hutchinson goes out of conference to play host to Air Force Prep at 7 p.m. on Saturday at Gowans Stadium.
The latest ranking marks the 34th-consecutive poll and the 43rd time in the last 45 polls that the Blue Dragons have appeared in, which dates back to 2008.
For the second-straight week, Iowa Western maintained the No. 1 spot. Butler moved past Arizona Western into No. 2. Garden City makes its second appearance in the poll at No. 19.
