The Hutchinson School Board Monday mapped out a time-line for the 2014-19 strategic plan for the district.
The board adopted the current five-year strategic plan in 2009. The strategic plan maps out the overall direction the district will be taking over the next five years.
As with the 2009 plan, the board will be seeking public input at several junctures, beginning this fall with a staff linkage and a student linkage next spring. The process will include presentations to business and civic groups around the community.
According to the time-line, the new plan will be formally adopted by the Board prior to the start of the 2014-15 school year.
From the strategic plan, each year staff develops the district’s operational plan to fit the Board’s strategic vision for the district and community.
Monday’s meeting also provided the board a chance to review technology in the district. The district’s technology staff completed 12 projects and made progress on five additional projects from the time students left in May until staff came back in August.
