ST. JOHN – An 18-year-old St. John woman was taken to a Wichita hospital Thursday after a car-semi crash on U-S 281 at the junction with U-S 50 in Stafford County.
Noelle Hannah Holmes was northbound on U-S 281 and had stopped at the intersection. The Peterbuilt semi driven by 42-year-old Christina Marie Berry of Stroud, Oklahoma was westbound. Holmes pulled in front of the semi and was broad sided. Her vehicle then entered the northwest ditch, rolled one time and landed on its wheels.
Holmes was wearing a seat-belt but was still injured bad enough that she was taken to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita for treatment of her injuries.
The accident occurring around 10:45 a.m., Thursday morning, two and half miles south of St. John.
