Two more arrest made in Wichita murder case

WICHITA – Sedgwick County Sheriff officials have now arrested two other suspects in the murder in Oaklawn Wednesday of Markez Phillips.

They have been identified as 24-year-old Francis Dupree and 19-year-old Reginald. Both have been charged with murder and robbery.

The third suspect arrested Thursday, is 21-year-old Daniel Dupree, who was booked into the Sedgwick County Jail on charges of felony murder and robbery.

The cases against the three men are being sent to the Sedgwick County D-A’s officer for the filing of formal charges.

The robbery and shooting of Phillips was reported around 9 p-m, Wednesday and he was taken to a Wichita hospital where he later died.

Authorities say one of three men who drove off in gold-or-rust-colored SUV may have been the shooter. Officials say they are no longer looking for any vehicle in association with this case.
